Alice Maud Bradshaw was the mother of Evelyn Blanche Barnard. (Evelyn married Alexander Edwin Brock; they were my wife's parents.) Alice's parents were Caleb Joseph Bradshaw and Sarah Melvina Bennett.

Alice (or Peggy) was born 24 November, 1885 at Redditch, Worcester, England. The 1901 UK Census shows her as a 'milliner's apprentice,' age 15, Redditch, Wordcestershire. She came to Canada and lived for a while in a boarding house in London, Ontario, where she met the man she would marry - James William Barnard.
The children of Peggy and James Barnard were: Evelyn, James, Alfred, Hazel and John (Jack).
