Brixham Devon
Brixham is on the coast of east Devon, near Churston Ferrers. For several generations, our branch of the Lambshead family lived in Brixham.
Richard Lambshead (b. 1647) married Patience Hinchson there on the 2nd of Februay, 1670. Their children - John, Joane, Patience and Elizabeth were all born at Brixham. For some reason, son Nicholas, was born in Paignton.
Son, John Lambshead (b. 1671) married Mary Evans at Brixham on 15th of July, 1694. Their children were Richard, Mary, Nicholas and George - all of whom were born in Brixham.
George Lambshead (c. 16 January, 1706, Brixham) married Jane Smith (b. Brixham, 10 Apr. 1711) on the 12th of January, 1736. Their children wre John, Jane and George. I assume the first two were also born in Brixham as was George who was christened there on the 4th of December, 1743. He married Agnes Snell in Bovey Tracey and four of their five children were born in that village, thus breaking the connection with Brixham.
