Balthasar or Belshazer, Exeter, proprietor in 1640; signed petitions in 1643 and 1647. His wife was robbed and murdered between Dover and Exeter in 1648. He married second, Mary, widow of Thomas Hawksworth. Rem. to Salisbury. He died March 23, 1650 -51. Admin. of his estate was granted 8 (2) 1651, to his widow Mary, who was also made administrator of the estate of her former husband, who had died in Salisbury in 1642. She removed to Hartford, Conn.

"A sojourner at the house of Henry Waltham in Weymouth" made his will while residing there. He desired that the wife of Henry Waltham be fully satisfied for charges in "Phisicke" attendance, etc. and that, if anything remains that Hazillpenah Willocks (Hazeleponi Willix) now resident in Weymouth, to have 10s, 24-Feb-1652/3. He also calls Thos. Dyer his " loving friend." This will was proved by the deposition of William Torrey, 21-Oct-1653. Hazelponi Willix was the daughter of Balthazar Willix of Exeter, New Hampshire (Rehister, 68: 81). It is apparent that John Cooper was without a family and probably only temporarily resided there.
