Phoebe Vatcher

Phoebe Vatcher was the wife of Thomas Bungay. She was born December of 1858, at Lamaline, NFLD and died 31 May, 1934, Burgeo, Newfoundland. She was the daughter of George M. Vatcher and Sarah Payne.

Thomas was born in 1842 and died in 1895 (lost at sea, age 53). They lived on a house boat, and some of the children were born on it. They had built a home in the Reach, but did not live there long after their marriage.

Phoebe Vatcher and Thomas Bungay had the following children: -

George Charles Bungay was born in 1872 (at sea); christened 21 March 1880, Lower Burgeo, Newfoundland - died March 1898 (at sea; age 26). He was buried at sea.

Martha Vatcher Bungay was born 4 May, 1887; christened 30 May, 1887, Burgeo, Newfoundland.

Mary Maria Bungay was born in 1881.

Wilson Bungay was born in Burgeo, Newfoundland; christened there 31 October 1884.
