Joseph was the son of a Edward (or perhaps John) Bradshaw and Mary (Unknown). In the 1841 Census, there is a John Bradshaw, age 60 and a Mary, age 50. (John's birthdate would be ca 1781 and Mary's would be ca 1791).

(According to the Mormon IGI Batch record - J145251, there was a Joseph Bradshaw, christened 18 February, 1824, Redditch - son of Edward and Mary; and a Joseph christened 28 March, 1824, Redditch, son of John and Mary.)

1. Reuben Bradshaw - born 1857, Redditch; married Emily (Unknown) about 1879, Redditch; issue: Martha - born 1880, Redditch. Reuben was a fish hook maker. He is 24 (Emily is 23) in the 1881 Census - Ipsley Street, Warwick - visiting 9 William Street, the home of William and Sarah Dobbins. William too was a fish hook maker.

2. Caleb Joseph Bradshaw - born ca 1861, Ipsley, Redditch, Worcestershire (needle factory foreman); married Sarah Melvina Bennett (born ca 1847, Ducdley, Worcester). He is 20 in 1881 Census - Ipsely Street, Studley, Warwickshire; 39 in 1901 Census.

3. Edgar Joshua Bradshaw - born ca 1868, Redditch; married Sarah (Unknown). He was 13 in the 1881 Census - at Ipsley Street, Sudely, Warwick.

4. Martha Bradshaw - born at Redditch, she married a Mr. Dobbin.
