Francis D. Weese

Francis D. Weese was the son of John Hart Weese, UEL, and Arrenjtlie Hogel. Francis was born 15 July 1777, Schaghticoke, Renselaer Co., NY. He died 19 April 1844, Ameliasburgh, Prince Edward Co., ON. Funeral 19 Apr. 1844 - service at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Belleville, ON; buried in Albury Church Cemetery near Carrying Place, Prince Edward Co., ON.

In 1800, he was the Keeper of the Half-way House between Carrying Place and Rednersville, ON (a popular place of social gatherings, wedding parties, holidays).

Francis married Margaret (Peggy) Babcock (b 1782 Ameliasburgh- d 1862 Ameliasburgh) before 1799. She was the daughter of Ensign John Babcock, UEL and Unknown.
