William Holly Glover Nichols

William Holly Glover Nichols came with his parents, George Aaron Nichols Sr. and Harriet Susanna Whidden - from Inverness County, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, circa 1872. He married Hannah (or Anna) Taylor, of LaPoile, Newfoundland.

Their family is listed in the 1935 Census of Newfoundland as follows: -

Like his father before him, William was a 'sportsman guide' in Nicholsville (cf. McAlpine's 1904 Directory of Deer Lake). His son, Bruce Nichols, followed in his steps and became regionally quite well known as an expert in the lore of hunting, fishing and woodsman activities. Dorothy Nichols, his daughter, married Thomas Evoy.
