Elizabeth Pennock
Elizabeth Pennock, the daughter of John Pennock and Hannah Garbutt, was born at Egton in 1780, Egton, NRY. She married Thomas Gatenby on the 8th of March, 1799, in Danby, NRY.
Children of Thomas Gatenby and Elizabeth Pennock were:
1. Ann (Nancy) Gatenby, born in 1802 and christened on the 25th of October, 1995. She married George Wood on the 2nd of February, 1819, at Danby, North Riding of Yorkshire.
2. John Gatenby
I have an old sampler that Elizabeth Pennock made in 1799, the year she was married to Thomas Gatenby.
After Thomas Gatenby's death, Elizabeth married John Leng (or Ling). He did not live long after that and she was a widow at Rake Farm, farmer, for many years - living there with her son John.
