Allen Hobbs was born in Horsley, Gloucestershire (Minchinhampton parish) ca 1779. He married Mary Ann King in Minchampton parish 27 December 1818. They were the parents of James Hobbs who married Ellen Townsend. They also had a son William (see below) who married 1. Elizabeth Moore and 2. Elizabeth Pratt Other children (as per the 1861 Census below) included: Hannah, James, John There is a BMD record of an Allen Hobbs dying (Stroud) - in 1863.
