Amos Hamilton Weese was the son of Chauncey B. Weese (innkeeper, b. 1832 -
had 9 children of which Amos was one) and Jemima Way (she was the daughter
Henry Way and Catherine Wannamaker, b. 1834 - Wannamakers are a HUGE family -
there is a new family tree out on this family that is available for purchase
- please contact me and I will give you the person's name who is selling this
book).

Chauncey B. Weese was the son of James Henry Weese (b. 2/12/1810) and Sarah ?
- James had seven children by Sarah ? and then married Julia Ann Gerow (d/o
Daniel Gerow and Mary Polly Jones) and had two more children).

James Henry Weese was the son of Francis Weese (b. 7/15/1777 in the U.S.) and
Margaret Babcock (b. 1782 - daughter of UEL Ensign John Babcock and ? -
Babcocks are another well-known UEL family). Francis had eight brothers and
sisters.

Francis Weese was the son of John Weese (U.E.?) and Arrentlie Hogel (also
spelled Arianantje, Ariaaney, Ariaantie - d/o of Johannis Hogel and Cath ?).
Francis had four siblings.

It should be noted there were two men named John Weese who emigrated to the
area - one stayed in the Ernestown area and the other John - your ancestor -
went to Fredericksburgh, Ontario in 1784 and then moved to Ameliasburgh,
Ontario in 1787 where he is buried on Lot 89, Ameliasburgh Twp.
