James Donahue

James Donahue was born in 1833 in Ireland, (age 48 in 1881 Census). He was the son of George Donahue and Elizabeth Unknown).

His brother was John A. Donahue (through to Irene Wiese descent). They emigrated to Canada in 1870, from Co. Antrim, N. Ireland.

John married Ann Jane Unknown (b ca 1821). They resided in Madoc, Hastings Co., Ontario.

Children:

John Alexander Donahue - b 25 April 1859, Co. Antrim, Ireland - d 7 July 1836 Saulte Ste Marie, ON), Elizabeth (b Ireland ca 1861. John immigrated to Canada in 1870, age 11.

Embury (as per the 1871 Census). Perhaps Elizabeth S. is a Donehoe sister and the above have taken in these members of the family upon the death of their parents?

John Donahue, his brother and family, along with parents George and Elizabeth, is next door.
