The Cratfield Poacher

This public house was owned by Joshua Moore brother of Elizabeth Moore and brother-in-law of Robert Barber.

Here Mr. Cratfield was overheard saying that he would as soon as somebody would go over to Bulcamp (Work House) and pull it down. Robert Barber and others tried to take him upon on it, and were arrested in a work house riot of December 1835.
