NOTE: My ancestor Sarah (Willoughby) Barber always claimed that doctors Walter F. Langrill (son) and John A. Langrill (father), both of whom served as Chief Medical Officers in Hamilton, Ontario, were cousins. Sarah's mother, Mrs. Charles Willoughby, was nee "Langrill." I cannot yet determine if/how they were related - whether as a 'close connection' or simply because of the same name and a conclusion that 'we must be related because we're Langrills and all from Co Wicklow, Ireland.
