James Pennock
James Pennock, son of John Pennock and Hannah Garbutt, was born on the 5th of October, 1805 in Egton, North Riding of Yorkshire; christened 24th October, 1805. He was a winstone labourer. He died the 10th of December, 1887 in Egton. He married Hannah Oxley on the 3rd of April, 1841 in Egton.
Hannah was the daughter of Thomas Oxley and Hannah Yeoman. She was born on the 26th of August, 1810 in Egton and died in 1896 in Middlesbrough, NRY. Censuses: 1841 and 1861 - James is in Egton; 1871: Egton Village; 1881: East End, Egton. Hannah's census indicators are the same; and in the 1891 census is living at Egton Village with her son Thomas, and family. She was a dressmaker.
Children of James Pennock and Hannah Garbutter are:
1. Andrew Pennock, born 25th of August, 1841; died in 1850.
2. Ann (Hannah) Eliza Pennock, born 5th of July, 1846. (She had an illegitimate son - Thomas Pennock, born in 1866, Egton, NRY) and later married William Roe.
3. John Pennock, born 5th of February, 1854, Egton; died at Middlesbrough in 1907.
