John Danby (ca 1675)

John's dates are unknown. He married Margaret Hurren (born 14 January, 1680, Badingham, Suffolk), daughter of Edmond Hurren and Mary Davy. Their children were as follows:

1. John Danby c. 15 November, 1698, Badingham, Suffolk; died 1742 and buried at St. Michael Southelmham. He married Mary Taylor.

2. Elizabeth Danby - c. 5 September, 1697, Badingham, Suffolk

3. Edmund Danby - c. 1 October, 1700, Badingham, Suffolk

4. Mary Danby - c. 21 January 1702/03, Badingham, Suffolk; married Samuel Beaumont 9 June, 1729, St. Margaret's Southelmham

5. William Danby - c. 5 September, 1704 Badingham, Suffolk; married Catherine (Unknown)

6. Margaret Danby - c. 7 April, 1706, Badingham, Suffolk; married Samuel Mayhew 27 March, 1732, St. Margaret's Southelmham

7. Martha Danby - c. 21 September, 1707, Badingham, Suffolk

8. Daniel Danby - c. 20 March, 1708/09, Badingham, Suffolk; married Anne Abell in Mendham

Prior to living in Badingham, the John and Margaret (Hurren) Danby lived at Laxfield. On the Suffolk Hearth Tax of 1675 - a Danby was taxed on four hearths, indicating considerable wealth and property for that time.
