William Linn

William Linn (or Lynn) was born on the 6th of May, 1683 to Richard Lynn and his wife Ephemia Hill, in Danby in Cleveland, North Riding of Yorkshire. William's wife was Elizabeth Atkinson whom he married on the 4th of March, 1725. William's daughter was Elizabeth Linn (born ca 1729) who married John Green (b ca 1725).

The Danby Parish Register records William's death (burial) on the 8th of August 1756 ("William Lynn, husbandman"). His Will (see below) was proved on the 9th of September 1756. The Will was written just prior to his death, on the 4th of August the same year. In the Will, William names his two daughters: Margaret and Elizabeth. It appears that Margaret is not (yet) married, but Elizabeth is named along with her husband John Green, with indication of three children at that date.
