Gudni (Gundyar) Jonsson (sic: should be Jonsdottir) was born 27 March 1796 (christened 28 March 1796) at Gautastodum, Snoksdalur, Dalasysla, Iceland. She was the daughter of Jons Thorsteinssonar and Gudrunar Christophersdottir.

She married Christians Jonsson, 15th of October 1806, at Snoksdalur, Dalasysla, Iceland. They were the parents of Daniel Kristjansson (who was born on 7 November 1817 (christened 9 Nov. 1817 Seliande, Snoksdalur, Dalasysia, Iceland).
