John Edward Morley

John Edward Morley (born 3 April 1888, Darrow, England) was the husband of Charlotte Milne. Their daughter was Jean Charlotte Morley who married Fred Ainsworth.

John Edward Morley was the son of Unknown Morley and Martha Maudsley. He was a chartered accountant. He was trained in Lancashire & eventually became comptroller of Tootal, Broadhurst, Lee. (He left school @ age 12 & worked in office of Tootal & went to school 3 nights a week until he was 32, to earn his CA.) The company manufactured cotton and later became a textile spinner and manufacturer.

They also had a son - John Kenneth Morley, and four other children. John Edward Morley died when his children were young - on 14 February, 1946 at Ashton Upon Mersey, Lancashire, England.
